Halloween is coming up!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, with jingle bells and tinsel decorating the trees, everyone gets a day off and we all get presents. We’ll eat too much turkey and we’ll get too drunk, but try and sober up at 3 to listen to the Queen, then crack open the eggnog and all sit down to watch The Great Escape.
I love Halloween. And I’m celebrating it early with a sign.
When it comes to Halloween there’s one man who sums it up more than any other – The Pumpkin King himself, patron saint of Halloween Town and undisputed champion of Trick or Treating, Jack Skellington.
Jack is from the Tim Burton film A Nightmare Before Christmas, which is as good today as when it was made, back in the hazy mists of the last century. If you haven’t seen it, watch it. If you have seen it, watch it again.
Happy Halloween, and a merry new November!
