Coleridge

8 - Coleridge

On one of our recent expotitions we found ourselves at Coleridge Cottage, one time home of poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and the place he wrote some of his most famous poems including The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Kubla Khan.

It is a beautiful cottage with rooms that have been recreated as if Coleridge and his family had just stepped out. And displays of beautiful books and interesting memorabilia.

The happiness of life is made up of minute fractions – the little, soon forgotten charities of a kiss or a smile, a kind look or heartfelt compliment. Samuel Taylor Coleridge

There is also the opportunity to try your hand with a quill, so Chris decided to share a short thought of his own.

Chris & Quill Philosophical note
