Anti-Depression Kit

I recently came across a picture of an ‘Anti-Depression Kit’, it was a little plastic bag with a note and a few useful things …

A Penny so you will never have to say “I’m broke”
An Eraser so you can make all your mistakes disappear
A Marble in case someone says “you’ve lost your marbles”
A String to tie things together when everything falls apart
A Hug and a Kiss to remind you that someone, somewhere cares about you!

I thought it was a brilliant idea and it reminded me of a Winnie the Pooh story, so I asked Chris to make a few for some special people.

I think he did a fantastic job of making my idea a reality, and I had lots of fun filling the boxes with some little tokens, including little hug tokens that Chris made.

I am not sure if I like it being called an ‘Anti-depression kit’ though. Partly because for some people it has negative connotations, but also because as someone who has battled with depression I don’t like to trivialise the illness. What do you think?
